Spring brings change and introspection.
Grows tall, lovely
Captivating
Enticing
Fragrant
poison
Subtle violet Subtle royalty Not so subtle entitlement
For a season it enhances Adding light and life And beauty in the blandest of places
And yet that season changes and it Grows
Symbiotic
Becomes parasitic
Empty, graying dying vines cling
Begging for acknowledgement nourishment
Once desired once beneficial
Inevitably detrimental to both
Tainting the original
The foundational
is weakened
And struggles to find its identity beneath the vine
Hoping for a salvific escape from something that has become irrevocably
Part
of
Herself.
The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it. ~Moliere
