What Facebook is teaching me.
So here’s the thing: As a daily rule, the majority of my Facebook feed is occupied by very intelligent individuals that frequently have different political, social, and religious views from my own. A few years ago, I realized that I was proud of this. For me that means that I am still open to dialogue and other points of view. If my Facebook feed is dominated by the SAME view on EVERY issue, my world is too small and I am not living as I should. However, this week: it’s all the same. Different faces, different hashtags, different words, but the same desperation, suffering and confusion in every single post. #altonsterling #philandocastile #dallas #wtf
